Pedro got out of the bus.
It was seventeen hours of drive from Lima to Cuzco, with a stop at Nazca in the middle, and he had spent half of the 100 sols Sebastian handed him. But according to fake Manco Capac, it's worth it, if he wanted to save the world and not suffer under the Old Ones' yoke.
Be his own hero.
Or the protagonist of his own story instead of a supporting character who only choice is to run for his life.
Now, he'll run to find his fellow protagonists and win against their mortal enemies.
First, look for the native Americans, said to be their great support. As much financial than military. His double from an alternate future, a.k.a fake Manco Capac, said they should be expecting him about this time of the year because he had warned them beforehand.
He just didn't expect he had to brave against a metallic monster that fly in the sky.
Pedro almost kissed the ground when he got out of the helicopter thing. Fake Manco Capac certainly didn't warn him of that. Nor that Pedro himself was actually the reincarnation of Manco Capac and actually a royal descendant that could reign on what's left of the Inca civilisation hidden in Vilcabamba, the city of gold.
Maybe he didn't want him to laze when time's running or let other do his job. Something Pedro related, because there was one thing he needed to do as soon as possible.
"I should kill Diego Salamanda first thing first so his hacienda could be the new house of Poison Town's people. Also because he's the one who's trying to open the breach to the dimension where the Old Ones are trapped."
"That is noble of you to think about your slum mates, but I heard from..." Prince Huascar, his possible relative, started but then hesitated on how to call his other self.
"Fake Manco Capac. I mean, he's like a protector in telling us all of that."
"Our protector said that even if we do get rid of this horrible man, the gate in the Nazcar lines will still open somehow. Thanks to the automatic satellite he had invested and already in motion, despite him not yet in possession of the diary."
"Oh, yes, the diary of Joseph De Cordoba, supposedly in Spain. I mean, I never travel to the other side of the ocean and they speak Spanish too, which would be easier than English where I'm still struggling but I was thinking of having the twins' power to control the people around Salamanda's hacienda so they would recognize the new residents from the slums."
The old man concluded from his ramblings. "So you will be reuniting with your fellows from the Five."
"I guess I should. I really wanted to get them out of the slum first though. I mean, the night of Walpurgis will be soon and Raven's Gate was said to be opened then but not if I have a say. Then again, having the twins going to the UK with me would be better."
"In the end, you need the Five of you for your full power."
"I need to kill Salamanda. Not only his actions are horrible but his face even more. Fake Manco Capac said it made one to be sick. He should be put down now."
"So much bloodlust," commented an Incan warrior.
Pedor didn't take offence. One did start to turn dark after living so long in the streets. And he heard too much horrors from his other self to not be impacted.
"I'm not scared of being beaten, I have healing hands. Actually, Fake Manco Capac said my whole person is healing power, so me leaving Poison Town is already putting my former homeless mates in pain hence me gifting them Salamanda's hacienda that he won't be using once he's dead."
"How about you get the twins to have them control Salamanda instead? You three can then make him change the satellite's path and delay the opening of Nazcar gate."
Pedro... Had not consider this solution, which seemed more pacific and efficient. If he's acting quick.
"One of our warrior will go with you to the US since you still have trouble in English. He will also be of great help to you when you have to get rid of the twins' guardians."
Right, there was that to deal with too. Abusive guardians who exploited two kids by threatening to separate them thanks to US' children service system. And scam his patrons with his fake psychic circus. Maybe Perdo should get rid of them first.
However, before planning another murder, he had to brave the monstruous copter still waiting for him at the top of the Mountain of Sleeping God Mandigo.
