They left Micos at Corincocha temple, Cuzco.
After the latter paid their fares to go to Lima, though. They could handle the rest by themselves thanks to the twins' power. Before parting with them, he said he'll be ready when they'll go find the other of the Five.
So they used the twins' power for small things, like to be paid a meal or two by the tourists taking the same bus as them. Or to use the corrupted Rodriguez who dared call himself policeman. Pedro made sure that the twins squeezed the last sol of the cruel man and have him under Pedro's orders.
Eventually, those seventeen hours of bus ride came the an end and the three had to admit it was more bearable when they could make people do their deeds.
"Alright, you two head to Salamanda's hacienda and take care of all his men and himself. Don't worry, you won't be mistaking him with someone else, he's an ugly one."
Although it was in Spanish, the two got the gist after having planned the whole thing in the dreamworld during the ride. They nodded when recognizing at their mortal enemy Salamanda's name and pulled out a map before heading to their goal. Pedro watched their back for a moment before shouting at Rodriguez to follow him to Poison Town.
He knew that old Sebastian could be stubborn and he will need time to convince the man to take all his charges and live in the hacienda of the richest man of Peru.
But hopefully having a man cladded with the law enforcement uniform and making him go under the atrocities of Poison Town would be convincing enough to make them leave this hellish place. And if Rodriguez happen to contract a terminally-ill disease on the way, it's only karma.
Unlike in the juvenile centre of Silent Creek, the three boys were free to use their power in the open and polluted area of Lima and both Jamie and Scott sent him a mental signal when they're done with their subjugation. Pedro himself succeeded in having the rest of the police move Sebastian and the rest of beggars to come with them to check on their new house. On the outside, it even looked unsuspecting with the police's involvement. Of course, only Rodriguez was brainwashed but he's the captain of the police forces, so everyone listen to him, and Rodriguez listened to any of Pedro's words. How powerful Pedro felt at that moment.
When Pedro joined the twins at the front step, he knew from their look they made sure to hide the hideous presence of Salamanda to not freak out the new residents. Soon, most of the poor from the slum came to check on their new house while Sebastian was unusually proud of Pedro without wanting to out it in words.
"Now, let's go to Hotel Europa and look for the traitor Fabian's location."
They probably could have done it with the Paginas Amarillas, but they also need to sleep and why not go a luxurious place, owned by none other than Salamanda himself. Jamie and Scott had all the policemen presented worked in turn to guard the hacienda and their new residents, meaning buy them new clothes and all the things they need to be able to live in society again.
Then, with a covered Salamanda, they left the luxuriant residence and head to the five stars hotel. Here, they controlled the receptionist' mind to give them the best suite and had them localize Fabian's whereabouts.
Lucky them, the author was just spending the night in the hotel too.
They exchanged a look, barely believing their luck, and went to knock on his door before subduing him to mind control too. As they slept deeply in the suite, after a nice bath and health care routine, both Salamanda and Fabian were standing still in the latter's room.
Next day, they will have to go back to Nazca where they had to locate the portable satellite transmission and greet professeur Chambers who was fake Manco Capac and his friend's caretaker. Where they would play football and perudo like your regular teenagers, all the while knowing the Old Ones were roaming on Earth.
They left both Salamanda and Fabian at Nazca after founding what they needed and drove to Cuzco back with the limo they made Salamanda call for the trip.
Belatedly, they realized it wasn't such a good idea to travel in limousine when crossing Peru.
And having all those snacks with them didn't help.
Their excuse was those were for Matteo and Scar.
At Cuzco, they didn't even have to wait long before Micos went to meet them before the temple. With him, his brother's at his tails. Since they're going to retrieve the diary of Joseph de Cordoba, they need ancient Spanish expert, not that Atoc had a degree but he wanted to go with his brother now they're three that could travel the doors.
"Alright, boys, do not forget how we proceed! Have a know of your destination. Vizualize it before going through the door. And hold tight on your companion if you have one. Jamie, do not let go of Atoc."
"You can count on me!"
Jamie wiggled his fingers, making Atoc quite awkward to having to hold it. Still better than his twin as Scott was shooting daggers with his eyes. Pedro ignored them and hold Micos' hand like they did the first time.
He pushed the door with the Five point cross star and stated :
"Now, to the diary!"
Which was absolutely not a clear destination but it still brought them where the diary was.
At Roma, Vatican city. The basilic of St Peter and they just happen to run into the pope.
Of course, the twins mind controlled and interrogate him easily about the diary. If Atoc ever had suspicions about the boys, everything resolved when the pope lead them to the secret chamber where he had hid the heresy.
How dare the Spaniard spout such nonsense? He was just about to get rid of it by selling it to this Spanish tourist interested in antiquities like that. Thankfully, the boys arrived before.
Or the tragedy with William Morton who bought it from the Spanish tourist who was actually a merchant would occur again.
Anyway, the boys and the Incan got the diary for free and went back through the door but came out on the other side of Italy, the Abbey of San Galgano in Lucca, because it's not always they can travel so freely.
While Atoc was busy skimming through the diary, Micos bought everything the boys got interested, to allow them the luxury of having Salamanda's wallet.
"Alright, I know that you kids wanted to spend time but may I remind you that the night of Walpurgis is close? Or that other people knew about the Inti Raymi? Let's get on, I have listed all of the doors locations."
He then told them there were two in UK, much like Italy, though to be honest, there was actually a third one in Naples. One in the middle of London and the other in what was today's Boston. Not to be mistaken with the city in Massachusetts.
This one was a city port in the Lincolnshire.
Somewhere where car drive on the left.
The three boys were dreading this. And the fact the country was ruled by a queen.
Going to the UK will certainly be an experience.
