Harry was excited.
This summer 1994, the Great Britain will hold the Quidditch World Cup with Ireland playing against Bulgaria.
As he just finished his exchange with Durmstrang in the third term of third year, he knew that Viktor Krum, the genius seeker, just got recruited right before his last year of studies (Bulgarian had one more year than any other schools that he'd exchanged, Harry noticed) because he was just that great of a player. Harry had the chance to play against him during his short stay in the dark arts institute and it was a honour, really.
Not that Kevin got it, but he still went with him to watch the world cup because Harry got V.I.P places thanks to being the minister's ward.
Also thanks to that, they got themselves their own portkey and arrived directly on the campsite and at the perfect time to set their own tent with wandless magic they learned from Uagadou magic school, in the Uganda back in third year's second term. Once done, they went to check around, sure they could meet some of their former classmates in the various magic school they attended.
But first, Harry had to stop undersecretary Carrow from tormenting the poor muggle mr Roberts, the campsite manager. You'd think having the minister bewitching the whole place, so any muggle glancing at it would see nothing wrong but some peculiar looking tents, no one would have to interact with the muggle and modify their memories, but Harry was hoping too much from some of the employees. They were former death eaters, after all.
"Miss Carrow, would you give me some of your time and inform me if you ever saw your employer?"
"Why, mister Potter, I'd like to. But I fear that... This man over would be very lost without my assistance."
"Pretty sure he'll fare very well without your presence near."
"Such killjoy, young man. You wouldn't be running that mouth of yours if Barty were here."
Thankfully, Bartemius Crouch junior was ordered to stay in the Gaunt house to take care of Salazar Gaunt and Morrigan Crouch, despite being the head of the department International Magical CO-operations (climbing so fast he replaced his father in three years) since the minister himself could do his job and speak many foreign languages, as the new Crouch was celebrating his second birthday. Why was there a Crouch heir? Lord Gaunt said that his own heir need servant slash friend right at birth for future connections and who better than his most loyal and pureblood servant's heir? Harry didn't know who was the other genitor and really didn't want to know because having two toddlers in the place he lives was already enough. And Salazar only speak parseltongue just to be annoying. Oh, and Morrigan was also in good path to become as asshole-y by trying to learn parseltongue with both Salazar and Nagini. So, really, Harry would find any reason to leave the basement.
Once sure that Mr Roberts was left alone, Harry followed Kevin to greet the section for Irish supporters where Seamus and Dean were found. The two boys were standing in front of their tent covered in shamrocks and sporting Irish National Quidditch team's color. As Kevin striked conversation with Dean about muggle lessons, Harry raised both eyebrows at Seamus who was about to cover his face of make-up.
"Well, Harry, won't you support Irish team, at least to feel patriotic?"
"Sorry, but I saw Viktor play and I'm confident in his talent."
"Mate, where lays your loyalties?"
"Where's talent."
"You can't just say that when you don't even follow officials Quidditch games."
Harry sent a scathing glare at Ginny who was coming with a bunch of gingers following her lead, also known as her big brothers. There's two new faces instead of Percy but he wasn't about to let their precious sister go lightly just because she had a point.
"Well, none of the Irish team got scout while still at school, did they now?"
"Actually, the chaser Troy was scouted right after Hogwarts some years ago."
"Ron, don't tell me that you search it just so you could have something to retort. That would be some level of petty."
While Ron was left sputtering the excuse that he was just a Quidditch fan and that had nothing to do with Harry despite him being quite the seeker, the twins intervened to turn the words back at Harry since he had abandoned his Quidditch team after winning all his house matches in first year.
"I didn't abandon anyone! I let my housemate Cho, who's a great seeker too, to play while I'm doing exchange with other magical schools. You can't fault me for prioritizing knowledges when I'm a Ravenclaw!"
He chanced a glance to Kevin, seeking for support, but his friend was now in animated conversation with both Dean and Seamus. He had to roll his eyes at that. If Harry wanted to know everything about magic, Kevin was set into getting catch up about muggle ones.
"Oh, where to? In my seventh year, I was corresponding with a Castelobruxo student but I didn't get to participate the exchange due to lack of finances. I'm Bill, by the way."
The eldest, then. The one brother who graduated three years before Ron made his entrance at Hogwarts. So the other was Charlie, the dragons lover who send his associates to retrieve Hagrid's little dragon Norbert.
"We did exchanged at Castelobruxo too. In second year, third term. Only for a month and a half though."
"Why do I feel like there are more?"
"Because there are!"
"To this day, Harry had already went to six magical schools, excluding Hogwarts!"
"And he doesn't even need to care about finances..."
"Not because he's the minister's ward or because he's load..."
"But because Harry's in possession of the stone..."
"Yep, the Philosopher's stone made by the alchemist Nicholas Flame himself!"
Harry only smirked at the twins antics before pulling out said philosopher's stone just to prove their point. Once again, Ron gaped at it, gouging out the reddish color and the light that came from within. Ginny rolled her eyes having saw that display for at least a hundred of times.
"And the gold transformed stay as such?"
"Of course it does! Do you think it's a replicate of those thing the leprechaun do?"
"Hey, it's a fair question. It's not like people usually carry a philosopher's stone with them."
"And anyway, what schools did you attend except for Castelobruxo?"
"Well, the most recent one was Durmstrang where I got to play with and against Viktor. Only for a month and half because head of school Igor Karkaroff is a sod. Before that, it was Uagadou where we learnt wand less magic." he summoned his broom, wordlessly and wandlessly, the Firebolt Sirius gifted him this summer. "Even before that, it was Mahotokorou, the school in the sky. And in second year, Castelobruxo in third term, Ilvermorny in second and Koldovstoretz in first. Except for Durmstrang and Castello, the others were periods of two months."
"So, Koldovstoretz was the first school accepting the exchange."
"Right. The one where we polished wordless magic."
"You're such an arrogant prat," Ginny commented under breath.
"How so? For seeking more knowledges?"
"For showing off those knowledges."
"Rubbish. Students of those schools do it on the daily. Not my fault if Hogwarts' lessons holding its students' potentials back. And anyway, we will go to Beaux Bâtons this upcoming first term."
Charlie made a contemplating noise. "You're gonna miss something."
His look holds something secret, as if he knew something more than any of them. But it didn't fool Harry, he knew all the last gossips thanks to living with the minister of magic himself and mixing with a bunch of minister employees who hold more important place and were more competents than the dumbass duo of Bertha Jorkins and Ludo Bagman who were strolling and chatting loudly just beside them.
"Nah. Pretty sure Beaux Bâtons would have the whole thing displayed for everyone to see. They're too proud to not show off their great student."
Both exchanged a knowing look, much to the other Weasley siblings' confusion. Except maybe Bill, man's the eldest and probably knew everything.
"Hey, what's that? What will happen this first term?"
"That's for you to discover and me to know. Just, don't be too disappointed if it's too limited."
"OK, now that you said so much why don't you tell us the whole thing?"
"Nuh-hu, I don't owe you anything."
"Then, Bill, you tell us. You obviously know it too."
Bill only laughed and ruffled the youngest hair. "Don't be too impatient. All will come in due time."
"Come on, we're all big enough to understand! Like with the secret chamber, you can just tell us."
Harry arched a brow at Ron. "What about the Chamber of secret?"
"Bill went into it during his times at Hogwarts but he wouldn't say more. Which is unfair because even Malfoy knew about it."
"What, how can you have access to it? And what business did you have going there?"
"What business? I had break the curse on it. And everyone had access to it, whether they wanted it or not."
"Well, sure but not to some part of the students. And there's no curse to break."
"Of course, there are. All five of them got a curse on it. The Fear vault was the worse."
"What."
"What."
Charlie cleared his throat. "I think you two are talking about different things."
"Hang on. There were vaults at Hogwarts? Cursed vaults? Also known as secret chambers?"
All Ron and Ginny's brothers nodded, sometimes sadly too.
"I have a feeling something bad occurred and I'm not even surprised. It's Hogwarts, after all."
"Are you saying there's nothing wrong in those other school you went? By staying only two months or less?"
"Well, no, but at least they had precautionaries measures to exactly avoid that. A haunted room? Learn more about ghost and spirit to not be bothered. Magical beings using it as shelter? Have lessons about magical creature there. Vampire hoarding it? Learn how to fight the vampire by drowning him in sunlight."
"You're pulling our legs with the last one."
"Maybe. Not that you'd know since you never go anywhere than Hogwarts. Who had cursed room that put its students in danger. How selling for an educational place."
"Not like you need it since you're way too advanced."
"I still have to attend school and take the final exams and be allowed to do magic out of school."
"Why? You're efficient in wand less magic."
"Don't turn my words against me. Anyway, Kev, it's time to go."
He hopped on his broom and had Kevin sat behind him before flying to the top of the stadium where they had their seat in the Vip box. On the way, they recognized some of their schoolmates, Ernie McMillan of Hufflepuff, Oliver Wood of Gryffindor who just graduated and Cho Chang of their house who replaced Harry as their Quidditch team seeker.
Harry had to play the perfect card when lord Gaunt greeted the Bulgarian minister in Bulgarian as they're taking place in the top box with them before ignoring both men to focus on the match commented by non other than Ludo Bagman. At least he was knowledgeable in the sport instead of his ministry work. Harry made sure to look at each details in the stadium, from the players' introductions to the mascots' entrance and to the whole match.
Irish won but Viktor didn't disappointed Harry with his undeniable talent. He's pretty Seamus will still rub it in his face despite his words.
As he took off, wanting to congratulate Viktor with a small chat, he ran into Sirius in some box in lower floor. He was with Remus and a young man that looked awfully like him.
"Mr Black and professor Lupin," Kevin greeted them.
"Please, out of school hours, I can just be Mr. Lupin."
"And I'm Mr Potter, I have you know."
With that, Sirius winked at Harry who only laughed.
It's not like he officially took Harry's guardianship. It's more the opposite, actually, Harry blood adopted Sirius right after his twelfth birthday so he could finally be a Potter since he was 16 and lived with them. Harry didn't do it because he felt closer to the man, but the former felt more kinship to the Potter name than Harry could ever feel. And since he was disowned in the Black line, why not give him a name to go back in time of need, as now he could also claim the Potter heritage.
Harry also proposed so to Remus as he learned at the same time that James Potter was financially supporting the werewolf. But since being hired as Hogwarts history of magic professor and with both Sirius and professor Prince providing wolfsbane, he said that he didn't want to abuse the Potters' kindness.
"Right. Old habits die hard."
"You literally called me by Black only once."
"Before that, I saw your name as ex-convict Sirius Black!"
Harry glanced at the boy that looked strikingly like Sirius whispering something to Remus who whispered something back to not intervene in the bickering between Kevin and Sirius. Noticing his curiosity, Sirius eventually deign to make the introductions.
"Where are my manners. Harry, and Kevin, meet Regulus Black, you're about the same age. Reggie, this is Harry, my godson."
"And the one who blood adopted you. And don't call me that. And it's actually Tonks-Black."
"The famous Regulus! I finally get to meet you!"
Regulus, a boy who couldn't be older than a year from him, started at his words.
"You talked about me?"
"Not that I'm aware of. Moony?"
"No, I wouldn't mix private and professional life."
"Oh, that was before you teach at Hogwarts. We met at Diagon Alley and as you were purchasing quantities of wolfsbane, you slipped about being harmless around kids Regulus' age during full moon so you don't have to pay attention to his every moves as Padfoot."
"Oh, that time."
When it was too soon for Harry to forgive either of them for not having raised him like they should have in the death of their best friend. So he told them to first mend their friendship and each deal with their issue before thinking of taking care of child who already had his hope shattered and didn't have time for adult' insecurities
"Anyway, are you going to your tent now? Which section is it located?"
"Close to the Bulgarian supporters and the exit. Best place to take off without being walked over by a bunch of hurried hippogriffs."
"Absolutely the opposite way from where we're heading to but would you like a chat with Viktor Krum? Since you're here, we can all agree that he's an amazing player, right?"
"The best. So young yet so talented."
Harry smiled pleasantly at Regulus, who despite the enthused words had the most serious look.
"So, fancy a word with tonight's Quidditch star."
"Then, we let you youngsters go. We only came for Regulus' sake and it feels quirky to greet someone younger when you're not even playing the sport."
Kevin made a face that would say what that made him as a non-player nor a fan enthusiastic of the sport. Harry's fried, for one.
"OK, I'll call you guys via the mirror if we ever lose him."
"Don't worry, hes' joking," Kevin reassured Rugulus who only arched a brow, not even remotely impressed.
"Am I?"
"Harry, you could literally found a needle in a haystack."
"True. See you, Sirius, Remus."
They parted there, the boys getting down by stairs and almost running into the quatuor of Slytherin composed of Draco, Theodore, Vincent and Gregory who were presents thanks to their father's place in the ministry. When Kevin asked Harry if he's not going to propose them a chat with the Quidditch idol, Harry rejected the idea because they were itchy and he didn't want to overwhelm Regulus who they just met. Said guy remained silent and only opened his mouth to talk to Viktor.
They spoke so much with such passion for the sport that both Harry and Kevin just got a greetings from the pro before acting as gaping audience. Eventually, the conversation cut short because Viktor was still a little down for losing the cup although his talent was undeniable. And because Harry was Intent to get to know the new bloke he heard so much about, he insisted to lodge him for the night and informed so to Sirius by their two-way mirror.
Regulus acted overly polite all night, from borrowing the shower to the spare changes and even the bedding he will sleep on. Though, after they all set down with Harry pulling out a pensieve and Kevin some muggle lessons, Regulus questioned them. Probably feeling out of place to relax when the boys didn't look like about to sleep at all.
"What are you doing?" He asked Harry while staying some distance away. Either by respect or unsure if his presence would disturb Harry's work.
"Pulling out my memories of the match so I can sell it for those who didn't have the chance to see it."
"Like a muggle rediffusion?"
"Yeah. It's not like wizards knew about TV and replay."
"I guess. How much are you selling it?"
"25 knuts."
"Why bother for such menial amount?"
"I can change the coin into gold thanks to the philosopher's stone." Regulus glanced at the red stone before staring silently at Harry. Harry could feel all the judgment in it despite being pretty focused on his task. "I need pocket change."
"The goblins hate you," Kevin commented not even looking up from his textbooks.
"It's not like I even go to Gringotts anymore. I'm not touching the funds in the Potter vault."
"Why not?" Regulus questioned again.
"I'm leaving it all for Sirius and his heirs. Don't think I didn't notice how he's all chummy with that female auror ever since he went back to his job since January."
"Oh, yes, Hestia Jones. He brought her home, to the Tonks, this summer. Nice girl, very morally set with a strong personality. I understand why Sirius would be smitten."
"Their relationship develops faster than I thought. And you do not live with Sirius?"
"No. He lived with the Tonks for a while but find a flat with Remus, to mend their relationship. But ever since Remus' at Hogwarts most of the time, it's like it's his house which could come in handy for him right now."
Harry made a noise of agreement while silently trying to understand his relation with Sirius. The latter didn't say anything in the introduction but from their look and their age, Regulus was definitely Sirius' son. Surius was probably ashamed to say it since he had him before Harry's ever born and he was absent for most of his childhood, letting him be raised by his cousin Andromeda.
He came back to present after hearing Regulus now exchanging intellectually with Kevin about muggle studies and tuned it out pretty fast. So the Tonks made Regulus go to muggle school, something Harry was a little envious as if he did, he could have still lived with the Dursley and he wouldn't be out as Obscurial.
He quelled the little voice in him and got ready for bed.
They will have a long day tomorrow, and though packing the tent could be pretty fast to his magic, he's stressing to go back to the Gaunt basement with Lord Gaunt because it will mean the rest of the holiday will be dull.
He thought about a way to avoid two weeks of boredom the moment he woke up. He just have to ask to spend the rest of the time with Regulus, preferably at his place.
His hope got shattered as soon as he heard Kevin and Regulus' morning conversation.
For one, Regulus had to go back because Sirius and Remus were already ready to apparate out of the campsite. And two, he won't be staying more even to enjoy the weather because he had to study for the GCSE he will pass at the end of the upcoming school year. As in equivalence of the O.W.L.s of Wizarding world.
Kevin wasn't an option either because his parents were starting to wonder if Harry wasn't a homeless after spending every winter and spring holidays at their place. Harry had thought of agreeing just to gouge a reaction but for some reason, seeing how they insist their son study muggle lessons as he was well advanced in magic ones, Harry had a feeling he wouldn't be any more welcomed if he did.
He could drop by Dean as Harry's pretty sure the boy would either have Seamus at his place or spend the rest of the summer holiday at Seamus. But that would require to be close to either boy, which he wasn't really. Especially if that meant having to support Seamus' taunt of the world cups end results too.
The Weasley were also an option. Of course, he didn't know Bill and Charlie that much, or Percy for that matter, and not sure the household could even welcome any more person but Harry could persuade them by planting his tent in their courtyard so he won't even be taking much space. And nothing would feel too out of place since they lived in the countryside. Now decided, Harry walked Regulus and Kevin to Sirius and Remus and asked them to apparate the muggle born to his place so he could ask lord Gaunt about his little project.
Thankfully, the minister wanted him in his vicinity even less and accepted without much thought while giving orders to his employees the procedure to clear from the campsite and lifting all spells on the place. Having the permission, Harry ran to the Weasleys and tell them his doing before they took their portkey. Mr. Weasley just had the time to flail before agreeing to his request and instructing him to touch the paper bag before the group's twirled back to a hill in the Devon. Once his bottom on the ground, did Harry notice that the two men who took the portkey weren't Bill and Charlie Weasley who apparated directly to their home but the Diggorys who were using the portkey together since they were neighbours.
Harry greeted them and apologized for the lateness before complimenting young Cedric Diggory's seeker play, much to Amos Diggory's elation and Cedric's embarrassment. Then, feeling quite awkward with those two men he didn't know that much, he went to follow the Weasleys to their place, affectionately named the Burrow.
There, in front of the dwelling a several stories high, Harry met again with the two eldest of the siblings who started on him for his certainty of Viktor's victory. Harry's own excuse was that Viktor did won the race as seeker and showed off his talent that Harry claimed so loud so yeah, he wasn't wrong even a little bit before going to set his tent near the barn like a petty brat. Mr. Weasley then proceed to tour him the shed a short distance from it to show him all his collection of muggle artefact since he's muggle raised. Impressed by the amount of antiquities, Harry and the family father spent the day there and only went to greet Mrs Weasley by dinnertime, much to her shock at seeing a new face.
For a first meeting, there were better condition but Harry's quite pleased to see the woman accepting him as easily as her husband.
Sat around the big table that reunited the whole Weasley family, Harry helped himself in serving good portion of Molly Weasley's cooking like she offered. Then, he listened to every members short description of the day and rolled his eyes when it was Percy's turn.
"If I may share my opinion, you shouldn't work so diligently when you're employed by Crouch junior, Percy. I'm not saying you're not a good employee, you probably are, but there's no point in pleasing your superior."
"And why is that?"
"Please, is that really a question? It's Crouch jnr. Son of Crouch Snr who used the imperious curse on his own flesh to keep the mascarade of his death while he pulled his death eater son out of Azkaban. And if you believe the theory of him being a victim of his father who's the death eater, which you'll change opinion immediately if you saw him as I saw him everyday and it's not pretty since we lived under the same roof, think about what he did along with the Lestranges death eater, they tortured the aurors Longbottoms into madness. Sure, Mrs Longbotom got better three years ago but Neville ended up quite the miserable bloke. And really, Crouch may be good at his job as head of international cooperation department, using charm and intelligence you should by now realize that he's also a master in manipulation and is only using your intelligence in the grand scheme of things. Also, it's not because you're related from the Black bloodline you should think of him as decent lad. He's also know' to be an important figure in the corrupted minister."
Harry took a sip of his glass of water to hydrate his throat after such a speech and realize the table was silent. The Weasleys were staring at him with various degree of shock. And as much as he loved casing affliction, even he knew that he should watch his mouth when he's a guest.
"I'm sorry if it was inappropriate, please don't kick me out of your propriety."
Mrs Weasley came to senses the first.
"Of course not, sweetie. We're not going to end you off just because you expressed your opinion."
"Besides, if you're saying the truth," Ginny added on. "The minister is corrupted, right dad?"
Mr Weasley gulped before nodding slowly with regret.
"And we're indeed related to the Crouch from my mother's side though she was disowned from the Black after marrying into the Weasley family. You're all twice removed cousin with Bartemius junior."
"If not...sycophantic, then how should I act?" Percy mused out with grimace as if he swallowed a lemon.
The twins exchanged a look and a smirk at their brother's own admission of being a zealous employee.
"Alright, first, let's agree I'm not telling you to stop doing a job well done. Keep on the great work to climb on position, but maybe do it so that the minister himself is aware instead of Crouch. Then, achieve a feat so amazing that even Gaunt can't say or do anything against it but to promote you and do it after considering all the loopholes because he's great in finding any. I'd like to see him back into a corner."
Ron's the one to comment at that. "You two have quite the relationship."
"We're keeping each other in check." was the answer before he resumed eating as the vibe seemed to change again.
Also sensing that this topic was over, Bill took a bite of the food again, putting everyone else at ease too. Charlie snickered quietly and tapped Percy's stiff shoulder, their brother had a lot to think about but they better finish their meal before getting a lecture from their mother.
To make up for his behavior, Harry helped Mrs Weasley with the chores before being prompted by both parents to settle himself, with Mr Weasley even beckoning him outside. Harry steadied himself for a kind but firm moral lesson to be decent in the host's house but was pleasantly surprised after hearing the following proposition.
Inspired by Sirius' Black enchanted motorcycle (that Harry wasn't even aware of the existance), Arthur Weasley had gotten himself a beaten up Ford Anglia and enchanted it so it could fly and turn invisible. And he'd like a review from Harry, who grew up with that sort of amazing creations. Harry had to admit that it was better than all the vintage antiquities he collected in the shed, though if they found the good people they could get out some good money in exchange. If it ever happens, Arthur was a big lover of everything muggle related.
They went for a nice ride before they called it a night but after Harry put some enchantments of his own to upgrade the thing. Why stopped when you can do better?
Morning found Harry glad that he put all his stuffs in the tent so he could have everything at arms reach, though he didn't own much now that he could just transfigure all his textbooks from last year to the new year's ones. Not that needed them either as he already knew all about the whole curriculum and that he will be absent most of the time. But since he wanted to keep the appearances by still attending lessons for the few times he'll be at Hogwarts, better have the supplies with.
As he told so to Charlie's kindhearted inquiries. Percy, who was getting ready for his day to the ministry with a new resolve, rolled his eyes for having seen the extending of Harry's abilities for the three years they shared at Hogwarts. Bill came down on this, stretching his arms above his head making his shirt pulled up and showing his well toned abs. Harry chewed on his toast without breaking eyes contact, so much the siblings noticed.
"Is there something wrong?" Bill asked while taking place next to Charlie.
Harry swallowed his mouthful before speaking because he was raised strictly by the Dursleys. "Nothing, just noticed you're really handsome."
"Thank you?"
"Are you hitting to my brother in front of me?"
Harry glanced at Percy. "No, just merely stating a fact." then, back to Bill:"Do you have a partner?"
"No."
"Are you sure you're not hitting on Bill?"
"A shame." Harry shook his head.
Before any brother could say anything else, Mr Weasley appeared from the stairs too and, looking expectantly at Percy, asked if they're ready. Percy shook off the early shock and nodded before both men disapparated after a quick greeting from the father. Left alone, with Harry washing off the tableware he just used, the remaining three fell into silence.
"So, what's today's plan?"
Charlie cleared his throat when Bill didn't say anything. "How about you tell us more about that chamber of secret of yours?"
"Oh, we're in for the long run," he said with a promising smile and leaning on the table.
That's how Ron found his siblings and his age mate later after finally emerging from his slumber. His mum was preparing the lunch in the kitchen with Celestina Warbeck's hit songs and humming along her favorites parts but the rest of them were in the dinning area, hund at Harry's tale.
"So, that's how the Slytherin took up studies of ancient runes way before we had to choose the electives."
"To blind the giant snake."
"The murderous giant snake," Harry corrected Ginny who had an unimpressed stare yet couldn't help herself but listen the tale. "And really, it's either that or we all die. And you know how I advocate against children's well-being in a magical school."
"But you're the one who chose to set it free," Fred quipped up.
"And let him alive," George's felt the need to add.
"The creature did nothing wrong. They didn't even ask to be born with those features."
"OK, you big and dangerous creatures lover. And none were harmed in the process?"
"Bill, I know you can't help your big brother's instinct but I said that I despise putting children's security in danger.. And no one's dead from the Slytherin. Right, Ron?"
"Not that I didn't wish so for Malfoy. But what are we talking about?"
"The secret chamber that Malfoy knew about but that isn't the same thing as what your big brothers witnessed during their school years before us."
"And really glad it ain't the same thing. An acromantula seemed way more inoffensive beside the killing snake."
"Please, taking care of the acromantula of the Forest vault was a hardship. Not everyone got the duelling skills to take it down."
"Yeah, but no one die to acromantula's gaze."
"But it's alright, the snake won't be killing anyone thanks to the runes, Harry said."
"Sensing a lot of sarcasm, Gin. And I'm not sure I want to know why."
Before they could develop the conversation more, Molly Weasley called the lot of them now that her youngest son was awake to start on their favorite activity, the de-gnoming. The youngest groaned, arguing who got to wear the gloves while the eldest just pulled out their wand and sending each other competitive look. Harry smiled as if part of the joke but followed them to see what was that about. Molly did tell him he could just relax while her children work but he felt awkward to wait for lunch to be ready while everyone's doing something and got to see what kind of activity was so appreciated in the household.
After watching the siblings enjoying the moment in the garden for a short while, he decided to lend a hand and, with a flick of finger, lifted any gnom he sensed in the barn, forced them to twirl wildly in the air before sending them over the garden without further ado.
A set of gasp echoed behind him.
As he gauged at their expression, he was confused by their appallment.
"What? I did exactly like you did."
"We just sent it over the garden, not over the hill where another family lives!"
"Now their garden must be infested of our gnoms!"
"Oh, dear magic. I-i I'll check on them and help them de-gnom it if they need. Don't wait for me if I don't appear when lunche's ready. Maybe I would already be full of their cuppa."
He hopped on the broom he summoned wordlessly and flight in the horizon without a glance back. Least they could say was that he was awfully confident of his skills in apologizing and certain he will be reward once forgiven.
As expected, Harry was late by the time their mother called them up and had to find an excuse when she asked them where was their guest. As they started on picking their food, a giant silver snake crossed the wall of their house and Harry's voice spoke up though nowhere the be seen.
"Hey, am I still invited for lunch? If yes, I hope you don't mind I bring a friend along. If not, please send a Vermillion so I plan ahead."
Because the Weasleys were forgiving in nature, they did not send any red spark and waited for the new person the savior of the Wizarding word will bring. They started placing bet though none were displeased with either outcome. Cedric Diggory was a nice bloke, Luna Lovegood was atypical but nice too and Silvia Fawcett was a Ravenclaw girl dating one of Cedric's mate of Hufflepuff.
Harry showed up with a blonde girl behind his broom.
"You sent the gnoms in the Lovegoods' garden?"
"To the Fawcetts, actually. They thanked me for helping them rid of it and offered some tea leaves they grow themselves and Silvia informed me that Luna lived in the neighbourhood too because none of you did."
Just to annoy him, Ginny only talk to Luna, ignoring him. "Hey, Luna, come eat with us."
"Hey, Ginny. Gladly."
That's how the Weasleys got another guest. They spent the afternoon playing between them with Harry actually seeing what siblings could spend their day to, turned out it was just witnessing how awesome the eldest were by showing off their experiences and use of magic outside of school.
